Community Impacts
Rebuilding Hope in Khokna, After the 2015 Earthquake
Khokana, a quaint Newari village in Lalitpur, faced devastating destruction during the 2015 earthquake. The disaster left approximately 600 homes in ruins and displaced around 6,000 residents. Despite the passage of time, the village remained in a state of disrepair, with shattered buildings and damaged cultural heritage. Yet, amidst the rubble, the resilient spirit of the people endured, holding onto hope for a brighter future.
